Mike Callaghan is a Canadian artist whose work focuses on fragmentation, rearrangement and reinterpretation. His work considers the intimate cycles of identity and mortality, within a constant potential for transformation. His work embodies stability, impermanence, space and scale. His work involves photography, text, installation and performance focused on political, economic, and socio-cultural issues. His work has appeared in solo and group exhibitions throughout North America and Europe, including among others, the Griffin Museum of Photography, the Marin Museum of Contemporary Art, the Reece Museum, the Soho Photo Gallery, the Spiva Center for the Arts, the Lubomirov/Angus‐Hughes Gallery (London), and the Elysium Gallery (Wales). Mike earned an MFA from the San Francisco Art Institute.
